    Dear everyone,

I have galleries of well over 100 photos and it’s getting extremely tough to move a photo which is automatically placed at the bottom of the gallery, and move it to the top. Maybe there is something I am missing but it seems it takes a very long time to move a picture from the bottom to the top and I need to move my mouse up and down a lot for it to work.

I wish there was even a way to point the mouse upwards in a static way and the pictures moves to the top by itself, or even better would be to have an option saying “move to top”. Or having an option that says: “move all new pictures to the top of the gallery”

The reason why I have to move it to the top is because I want people to see my newest photographies first and oldest at the bottom. Unfortunately Foo Gallery works in the opposite way of how I want it.

All this said, I’m extremely happy with everything else. Foo Gallery has been a real savous on my WordPress site that otherwise would be much more dull. Foo Gallery is awesome overall.

Thanks everyone for reading and for your replies.

    hi @geordiesheikh

You can get around having to manually drag images that you add to the gallery, if you change the sort order of the gallery.

Edit the gallery, then scroll to the Gallery Sorting metabox on the right, and change from Default to Date created – newest first. Screenshot : https://prnt.sc/26lj3gj

That should solve the problem for you.

Thank you very much for your response. The issue I have with this solution I suppose, is that the photos were not uploaded in the right order. It is due to an error with WordPress so I get an error message on about 40% of the photos I upload so I have to re-upload it again and it will obviously be in the wrong order then.

That will affect the order in the Foo gallery if I sort by date created, right?

Anyway, if I am still able to re-order the photos after using the function we’re talking about, then I can just put them back in order and then from then-on, all photos will be placed at the top when adding them to the gallery?
