Moving the location of media uploads breaks the Media Library

    If you use define( ‘UPLOADS’, and move the location of future uploads, the “old” media is no longer available, editable, or shows the thumbnails in the media library.

    For some themes it’s even breaking the media posted.

    Is there a way to fix this?
    Is this a bug?
    Or is this the correct behavior and therefore you should not move the media location once it’s set?

    Thanks for any help or thoughts on this.

    Anyone have any idea’s or suggestions of where to go with this?
    I’ve used years as folders for images, as there are not a whole lot and putting them into individual months just makes too many folders. Now that this is happening I’m not sure what to do and again I’m not sure this is how it should be working. I don’t remember this happening before..

    Never mind. I’ve just accepted that one folder is fine…
