    Hey everybody,

I hope I’ve checked every FAQ and forum topic I found. But It seem to me nobody has asked a question in this direction. I love your plugin and it works perfectly with my theme. Really good job, guys.

I have problems when moving a complete wordpress installation to another server.

I always loose all the goals of players. And Rosters. Sometimes I also loose the players and clubs. The matches are still there and the full-and halftimeresults are fine. But single player goals are gone, the saison is empty.

I’m also – as I think – aware of correctly using DB Search & Replace and stuff.

So I thought, I should have a look at the differences between the raw mysql data I added after I moved to a new server and before and see the differences. And perhaps correct them by hand.

I didnt figure out how to write a correct sql statement to get (all) the game data by saison plus the connected post meta data for particular games.

Or maybe is there another way to have goals and stuff corrected without double importing again?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi diddiausde,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you on this but it’s only me running this gig on my own and I’ve had a bit of a nightmare month for a few reasons so I just haven’t been able to do as much as I would like!

Anyway… I’m not really sure what is going on in your case! I’ve never had an issue importing sites running WPCM across servers. The plugin uses standard Post Types, Post Meta, Term Meta and WP Options for all of it’s settings and doesn’t create any extra tables.

Player stats for matches are stored as an array as wp_post_meta() so I can’t see why they would not be getting migrated.

To move a site from one server to another you should be able to do a search and replace on the url in your database then export the mysql file. I usually use WP Migrate Pro (free version) to do site migrations. There are no extra steps needed to migrate WPCM in particular.

    I hope that helps ??

    ho, ho, ho …

First of all: thanks for the answer. I guess I have to try again on an fresh install.

Just in case you have it in your head:

“I didnt figure out how to write a correct sql statement to get/export (all) the game and club data plus the connected post meta data for the exported games/clubs etc.”

    ??

Because If I do this. I should see the old data which is still in the now very large database and can compare it to the correct data and correct it by hand maybe. Maybe the post_meta_id’s changed. Or I did maybe a mistake while using DB Search & Replace and need to correct that again.

merry xmas from me, hope you can relax a bit now … and thanks for the new update. ??

    Hi,

I hope you had a good xmas?

I’m not quite sure I understand what you are trying to do but I would recommend trying out WP Migrate plugin if you haven’t already. It has lots of options for exporting/importing data so it may be of help.

Good luck and if you need anymore help please don’t hesitate to get in touch ??

Well, after all it seemed to be my problem. I could have lost some data somewhere else. Didnt even find it with a deep search of the wp_options.
    Thank you very much.
