The quickest and simplest thing to do would be to uninstall BPS on the old site and then install BPS on the new site and run the BPS Setup Wizard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NNc6ycWbhw

Older versions of BPS prior to version .51.8 do not automatically delete the root and wp-admin htaccess files when you do an uninstall so you will need to delete those htaccess files manually. Or you can upgrade to .51.8 on the old site and then choose the “Complete BPS Plugin Uninstall” option, which will delete everything.

Thanks for the quick reply. Well, I suppose that’s a good & a bad thing. I have some custom entries in the htaccess files I’ll need to move over as well.

So roughly the steps I’ll take:

    — Backup dir structure of current blog (in case I need to back out)
    — Backup DB (again, in case of back out)
    — Remove BPS plugin
    — Move files, dump & move DB
    — Install BPS plugin on new site & configure

Or just save copies of your old root and wp-admin htaccess files from the old site and delete them from the old website. Then install BPS on the new site and run the Setup Wizard and add your custom entries from the old htaccess files to BPS Custom Code on the new site.

Correction: …upgrade to BPS .51.8 on the new site and run the Setup Wizard and add your custom entries from the old htaccess files to BPS Custom Code on the new site.

I assume you are using this WordPress Codex page as a guide to move this website: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress

Yep, you can resolve. I was able to successfully move the blog last night and get BPS back to the point I needed. Many thanks for the advice.
