Moving to Lite Version

    Hi,

    I am using the full version with a child theme (seems to be 2.2.5) and a lot of custom templates. I was about to do some more template changes but can you confirm if I should now move to the version on www.ads-software.com 1.5.7.

    Can I use the same child theme that I have?

    Hi Dugs. Don’t remember anyone moving from the “full” version to the “lite” version, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. You can check the theme web site for a list of the features that you’ll lose with the lite version. Any modifications you’ve made in your child theme (theme files, functions, css, js) that relate to those features will no longer work. Hard to say whether or not any of the child theme customizations will adversely affect the lite version. I wouldn’t think so but don’t know for sure. Your best option might be to make a backup of your existing site, restore it to a subdomain on your host, and try it there first. Or use one of the available plugins that can migrate your site for you.

    Yes I just deleted the hueman theme folder and replaced it with the lite version files by FTP and it had little impact so I didnt encounter any problems.
