If anyone can help I would appreciate it! I attempted to move my blog to a new server and url. I got the database working on the new server and then I went to the options to change the url to the new url in both places (as stated in the wordpress instructions). Now I can’t log back in or see the site at all because it is jumping back and forth between the old and new url while trying to load. Eventually I get this error:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I tried to delete all my cookies but it didn’t help. Any ideas?

I finally figured it out! There was something in my database that was still pointing to the old server. Not sure what, but I managed to fix it by opening the exported sql files with notepad and running a replace with the new domain name. I then re-imported the s files into the new database and everything worked! I figured I would post how I did it in case anyone else comes across the same problem.

Sorry for reviving an old topic but I’d like to say thanks for posting the solution, I think this will help me with my problem.
