Moving to new url…

    I have just been reading about how to move my blog to a new url. Both old and new urls are hosted within the same account at godaddy. Changing the url directly in the database seems to be the simplest solution. Once that is done, do I need to need to move the files? It was not clear to me what action to take after that. The blog is password protected and I wondered if that would be affected…

    I appreciate whatever clarification you can give me!

    Just upload the old files to the new domain name, then go to phpMyAdmin and change the site url and site home. About line 2 and 38 in wp-options.
