I’m thinking of moving my site musicpeter.com to WordPress on the ‘4 bucks a month plan’ (along with email to that domain).
The domain comes up for renewal towards end October. Couple of questions.
    1. If I move before the domain comes up for renewal, can I transfer the name to WordPress.com before that date and then WordPress.com cover the cost of renewal?
    2. Can I start the WordPress.com plan, migrate the site and THEN transfer the domain, or do I have to do it all at time of signup?
    Thanks,
    Peter

Due to the differences between the various site hosting plans offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.

Thanks for the response. I got here straight from clicking a link at wordpress.com. None of their support links seemed to suit my need for simple ‘pre-sales’ queries, the link I clicked sent me here, so I’ll stay with current hoster, probably.
