    Hey

So I built and tested my website on a subdomain (subdomain.site.com). Now I want to move it to a new address (www.address.com) but I am running into a problem.

Once I go the the website it shows the home page correctly (www.address.com) but when I click on any link it show the page from where I first tested it (subdomain.site.com/link) instead of the page on the new domain (www.address.com/link)

I really have now idea why. I looked in the database tables but I couldn’t see anything that might help.

It’s worth mentioning that the domain with the subdomain where I built and tested the site as well as the new domain I am trying to use are both hosted in the same place (under the same hosting account).

I am willing to try any ideas you might have.

    Thanks

Go to your permalinks. Change the setting to anything and save then change back to what you want and save.

Doesn’t work. What I noticed is that when I go to https://www.address.com/wp-admin I am redirected to subdomain.site.com/wp-admin. So I don’t think it’s the permalinks.

I am thinking of something in the database but I can’t figure it out.

    Thanks kmessinger. That did it.

But now I have another problem. I did all those steps, links are ok, but when I try to log in the wp-admin I get this error:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Any thoughts on why that is happening?
