Moving wordpress from a folder to the top level of the domain
-
I hope this is as simple as I think it might be. I have installed wordpress on my wife’s domain in a wordpress folder (lisalesa.com/wordpress/)
I have been designing some static pages to make a website with her blog attached. I probably should have installed wp right at the top level but I didn’t and now I want to move it.
Can I simply copy the contents of the wordpress folder and paste the files on the top level directory?
Is there and easy way in ftp to change the path of all the files rather than physically move them or is that what the copy and paste does anyway?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
