Moving WordPress to new server

  • I need to move a working WordPress 5.0.3 server (using MySQL 5.1 and PHP 5.3.13) on server 2008 to a new Windows 2012 server. I have now experience with WordPress and PHP and very little experience with MySQL.

    I can find resources that tell how to install WordPress, MySQL, PHP but each seems to do it a little different than the other. I’ve concluded that I need to know a lot more about how these software packages interact and how to move their data to the new server.

    Does anyone have any good resources they can direct me to?
