Moving WP with no access to dashboard

I am just sharing my experience about moving my WP site to another server with no access to the dashboard. I do not have the exported xml files either for an easy move.

My domain name expired but I still have the files in the server. I downloaded all of the files and the database.

I succeeded! The only problem is I cannot seem to upload files. I did what they said here>> https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_File_Permissions but nothing’s happening…

Then I thought to look into my phpAdmin and compare the lines on wp_options with my other working wordress sites and eurika! Row 59 which upload_path still have the old server’s address. So I deleted it and left it blank (like my other WP sites) and viola! It worked.

So chuffed that I got this working. BTW, I have no knowledge at all in php programming and I can still remember basic html from years ago. I do think I gained several white hairs from the experience and I hope that the next person who plans to migrate their website like I do will find this useful.
