• Hey all.
When uploading newest version of WordPress to Netfirms web host, they are flagging the ‘moxieplayer.swf’ file as a malicious file.

Very frustrating when trying to do a fresh install of WordPress via ftp.

    Located in JS/tinymce/media/moxieplayer.swf

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

FTP transfer of WordPress 4.2.2 crashes with this file.

  • We have the same problem.

Since wordpress delivers a file which is dedected as infected by clamav, it IS an issue by wordpress.
It seems that thousands of websites had downtimes this morning because access was blocked by their webhosters.

Seems like the lastest daily.cld update from ClamAV came out 10:32(at least when mine got updated).

If I scan a website now the file no longer shows up as infected.

Our host now came out with the message to disregard this virus alert because it was erroneous. Perhaps some faulty definitions sent out by the provider, like Weeto0 said. The file is not in quarantine, and apparently never was (according to my host).

The same is here in Hungary with mhosting.hu
I got an email that they put the file into quarantine.

Once again, this is a false positive. Closing thread.
