Mozilla Public License 2.0 – OK for plugins?

  • Hi – I hope this is the right place for this question. Am I permitted to distribute my plugin under the MPL 2.0 license? I think that this is OK, based on

    • this announcement from the WP Core blog
    • the fact that the MPL 2.0 is listed as a GPL-compatible license. and
    • the fact that there are a handful of existing plugins under the MPL 2.0 (sample)

    Obviously I’m not a lawyer (are any of us?), so I’m not confident in my analysis. Would really appreciate any insight. Thanks!
