MP3 insists on sending to WP.org list… Wrong list
-
I have a subscriber list to send to, but MP3 will not give me that option. It only allows me to send to the default and unneeded WP.org list, which consists of me only. So how do I fix that? I am assuming, because the documentation apparently does not state it, that my actual subscriber list is supposed to import itself into the WP.org list so that MP3 has complete control over unsubs, deleting them forever. So, ok. But the import should present itself somewhere as a “click here to import your actual subscriber list.” Where is that? Or do I export my sub list and re-import it into the WP.org list? I will try that now… Yes, that worked correctly. So what next? Relight cigar. Ok, and now to test subscription widget… works properly. New subscriber notification works, too. Cool. Now to delete my WP.org list, add myself back to it and sent an post notification…Deleting all from WP.org list is poorly described. To accomplish this, one must first delete all other lists and THEN Force Sync the WP.org list with non-existent list(s). That resets the WP.org list to 1, my admin email. Ok, that works. Let’s send a test post notification… Tab “Emails” > “Post Notifications” says “100% Sent”, but there is no post notification in my inbox. Confusing: Setup says send based on site visitor activity, but dropdown on newsletter (posts) says “Send immediately when new content is published”. We need a “Send” button. I do not think my post notification was sent. Going to log off my site and go back as a visitor and click on some stuff… nope, did not send. Not sending the post notifications.
