mqTranslate and WP Page Numbers

I use the plugin WP Page Numbers together with mqTranslate.
I’m not sure when clicking on the next page number stopped working. I’m now using the latest version 2.9.1.2. It still worked in version 2.6.2.4 for sure.
It put in the language string twice (once as query and once as pre-path mode):
/?lang=fr/page/2/?s=maison&lang=fr&search=Rechercher&key&tax=-1
By comparing the old version with the latest version, I noticed a new case for url_mode in mqtranslate_core.php, line 218 : case QT_URL_QUERY:
I commented out line 219 and now it works, returning this as it did before:
/page/2/?s=maison&lang=fr&search=Rechercher&key&tax=-1
My problem is, that uncommenting this line is only a short term solution and it won’t work again next time I update the plugin. Is this a bug or do you have some other workaround?

WordPress Permalinks: Post name
mqTranslate URL Modification mode: Use Query Mode (?lang=en)
