• I’m new to the WP world but have a blog running at: https://www.woodnbits.com/blog.

The problem I have is that while everything seems to work fine from Home (all msgs) or when accessing via an RSS link (single msg), for some reason, if I select a Category to get msgs for that category, they come up as abbreviated summaries. While I can find a general setting for ‘summary or full msg’, I can’t find anything that controls how Category access is displayed. What am I missing?

    Cheers — Larry

It’s probably not cool to respond to your own question but I found a solution to the problem, though I’m still curious if there’s a place where I could have fixed it from the Dashboard and without diddling with PHP. Anyways, I changed the code in the Archives.php file. It was set to display “the_excerpt” and I changed it to “the_content.” All fixed but my most probably don’t want to mess with PHP coding.

it’s cool to let us know how you fixed a problem.

don’t think you can fix this issue via the admin panel. the issue is how the theme is coded, whether to deliver a full post or an excerpt. your solution is right. if there is a better solution, i for one would like to hear it.
