MU Site stopped sending mail

  • No new plugins. No new server configuration.
    About a week ago, the site stopped sending email (no registration confirmations, no lost password, no contact form 7, no mail at all).
    I don’t even know where to begin to look.
    It was working perfectly.
    Any suggestions?

  • You should check with your host, or your ISP if you are running your own server.

    This happened to me. Discovered it was because the email software on my server wasn’t sending with a “real” email address in the from and reply-to fields, which caused all email generated from the server to be considered spam.

    @tim that’s usually fixed with a reverse dns record. ??

    @fuzzie yep, ask your host. if it’s sending no mail at all suddenly, then they woudl know. Sometimes if they do a “normal” update on the serve,r they wipe out custom settings.

    and make sure it’s not actually sending, versus not receiving, as that’s a different issue.

    It was relayhost = mydomain.com in main.cf of the postfix configuration.
