    Hi Kzafar

Thanks for your message. I did test import/export of non-english characters. Are you sure the text file that you’re importing is encoded with UTF-8? If you’re using Excel or some other program, it may be changed on save.

Libre Open Office Calc and Google Docs Spreadsheet both have great UTF-8 support. Could you confirm there’s still a problem after using one of those programs?

If you still think WPCSV is at fault, then please contact me via my website so we can exchange emails and you can send me your CSV file.

    Best wishes

    Hi Paul,

You are correct. Excel is messing up with UTF-8 character set in CSV. I found on web that Excel 2013 still don’t support UTF-8 character properly.

UTF-8 works properly with Google docs and LibreOffice.

Appreciate your solution, this will be helpful with WP CSV and for general UTF-8 CSV processing as well.

    Regards,
    Khurram
