• Hey Folks,

I am currently building wordpress based web-site for one of my clients and I am having hard time finding a right solution.

The web-site is going to be:
    -Multi Regional (Ontario/Quebec)
    -Multi Language (English/French)
    -Multi Content (Residential Services/Business Services)

Ideally at the first visit, the user will be prompted to choose his region and then he will be redirected to English->Residential services by default further content filtering can be done via drop down lists and changed at any given time just like in the example below:

The content could be chosen As Ontario->French->Residential just as Quebec->English->Residential.

Example of such structure can be viewed here https://www.bell.ca
    a) User prompted to choose his region
    b) By Default user is redirected to Residential->English, however this can be changed using menu in the header at any given time.

Which plugins/way is this achieved ?

For language preferences I would assume that i should be looking at WPML plugin, but how should i go about managing Regional as well as type of services options?

Looking forward to all suggestions and comments!
    Thanks!

  • I am also interested in such a solution our company website. We operate across regions, however at this stage language is not too much of an issue, other than variations in English. However some content differs between regions and other content remains the same. It there is a plugin to solve this problem.

    It’s exactly what i need.
    I need a multi-language URL like this:
    /sitedomain/EN/US/
    /sitedomain/EN/UK/
    ……

    Similar issue here… currently considering:
    us.example.com/EN
    us.example.com/PT
    pt.example.com/EN
    pt.example.com/PT

Not sure if this is the best solution not if it’s straightforward to accomplish with WordPress or WordPress MU. Any ideas?

    Thanks!
