Multi language – Show a summary instead of all event info

    The plugin works very well with the different languages!

    I have created a language category for each language.
    I created a separate page on the site for each language and used the shortcut for that language:

    [vsel event_cat=”en” posts_per_page=”5″] – the page with english events
    [vsel event_cat=”fr” posts_per_page=”5″] – the page with french events

    I use the summery text on the events page with a title link to the single event.
    This is to get the links of the single events also in Google Search Engine.

    (I have created the events in the dashboard and specified the language of the event and the category as well)

    Everything works fine except the summery text. The summery text is always in the wrong language.

    How can I solve this? I would like to use the summery text on the page with all events.

    Which page builder are you using? Elementor? Pro or free version?

    Hi,

    If you’re using Elementor, how do you insert the event date, time, location, More Info, etc? Or do you switch back to native editor for that?

    Hi,

    There is no option to use elementor as editor in VSEL.
    The only option I have is “Edit Event” and that happens in wordpress editor (block editor).

    Hi,

    I have activated block editor again and installed Elementor (free) and still works fine.

    Have not activated “Events” at Elementor settings page (Post Types). So block editor will be used for events.

    Please see last screenshot at this page.

    Guess best thing to do is set up a live test site, or switch to another events plugin..

    Found it!

    Deactivated all plugins.
    Including elementor.

    Just not VSEL and polylang.

    Still the same problem.
    Then I checked the settings of polylang again.

    There I saw Custom fields enabled in Synchronization.
    I turned it off and now it works!

    Custom fields was checked (probably by default).
    I don’t know if it affects other plugins but I’ll see.

    Yes, it seems to work fine.

    I just tried to view the widget too, but there is no widget in Appearance (in Elementor). No problem, can live without it but I just wanted to pass it on now that you’ve loaded elementor this morning.

    You mean in the page editor of Elementor?

    My plugin only has a native widget, guess Elementor does not use that one.

    And unfortunately also no events block for the native block editor, I don’t know how that’s build and have no time for that.

    Speaking about the native block editor…

    How did you obtain your language block (switch to..) in your classic editor? (screenshot eng event/nl event)

    I see the language block in the classic editor editing posts but not in events.
    To see the language block in events I need to switch to the block editor.
    Don’t like the block editor.

    Maybe you have to make box visible via the Screen Options tab?
