Multi-language site (French and English)

    Hello

    I will make a website showcase a few pages.

    It will be in French.

    I need the site to be translated into English too.

    Do I have to provide for the translation of each content into English on the same page (a French text block and a text block in English below)?

    OR

    Should we provide a multi-language site (French and English)?

    In fact what is a multi-language site, it is a plugin to install? is it a second site in angais with another domain name?

    You could create in many ways a multi-language. For example the French website on domain.fr, English on domain.com. But this could be expansive because you have to buy different domains and webservers. Of course is cost a lot of time, because you need to manage a lot of websites.

    I recommend you to get a .com domain. This is a general domain name where you can create a multi-language website. For example with Polylang, Loco translate or wpml (premium). With this plugins you are available to create a multi-language domain. For example the English version on domain.com and the French version on domain.com/fr/. The only thing what you have to do is translate it by yourself (or by somebody else) and put it on your pages.

    I don’t recommend other language settings like fr.domain.com, en.domain.com or domain.com/?=en. This will create a negative effect on your domain name.

    Thank you very much for your answer.

    I do not quite understand how can a plugin like POLYLANG

    So it’s free, only one domain name and I have to translate the texts.
