    Hi-
I am configuring a site for a cycling club. Within the club, there are multiple divisions of racers (A’s and B’s) competing at one event. I’ve set these different divisions as separate sub leagues in SportsPress.

Points are awarded to individuals’ placements in each sub league – top 10 in A group and top 10 in B group.

I’ve been playing around with event results, and I am not seeing a way to separate the divisions of results within one event. For example, I can only record the results of one league that competed in the event, even though I selected both sub leagues in the details section when creating the event.

Is this possible? If so, what am I missing?

    Thanks.

I’m not sure if I get what you mean though. Would it be possible for your to send us some screenshots or a link to your site?

    Thanks!

    Thanks, Roch –
The more I am playing around with this, the more I don’t think it is possible, but I’ll see what you think…

Here’s a link to an event that I have categorized to include two sub leagues A Group and B Group. They are both sub leagues of the main Race Series League:

    https://gvccracing.rachelpikus.com/event/multi-league-event-test/

They race at the same time, but one group does more laps than the other. I have outcomes set up 1-10 places with bonus point or “Primes.”

But when I input the results for the players, I can only set 1-10 places for one group. I need to set places 1-10 for both the A Group and for the B Group because they are separate races.

Am I going about this configuration wrong? Do I need to set them up as two different events?

    Thanks.

    Hi!

Thanks for your reply and for the clarification.

In that case you have two options. The first and “cleaner” way would be just creating separated events. This would avoid confusiong and wouldn’t require additional adjustments.

You could also create different event outcomes for each type. So you’d have 1sta, 1stb, 2ndb, 2nda and so on.

This can create a huge mess in case you have more events in the future, and may make the event page even more confusing.

    Thanks!
