• Hello,

We have managed to create exactly what we needed with the Participants Database plugin. The time saving has been massive, and we are very grateful to you for creating it.

However, we are experiencing an issue where multi-page data is not being saved. Sometimes we only get one page saved, other times none at all – the entry is completely blank. We are making use of mandatory fields, so this should not be possible for users to do deliberately. We have tried checking / unchecking the option to Use PHP Sessions, but this has made no difference. Can you help at all?

    Best regards,

    Antony.

It’s hard to tell what’s going on from what you’ve told me. One way only one page of a multi-page form gets saved is if the user abandons the form after the first page. Each page is saved separately. You say sometimes nothing get saved…does this mean a record with no values is getting saved? Or you know the form is getting submitted, but no record is saved at all?

Are these from your tests or from looking at saved submissions? It’s always best to verify this kind of thing with your own tests. That will help you understand what’s going on.

Also, a multi-page form must conclude with a “thanks” page where the [pdb_signup_thanks] shortcode is placed. The form submissions will be saved without this, but the thanks page closes the form series and sends out the email notifications.

It looks like we might have had a few pdb_signup codes in our page chain, which might be causing unusual behaviour. We have fixed this, which may resolve the issue. Time will tell. I will post again once we are sure of the behaviour.
