    Hello,
    I’m sorry, I am pretty sure you have answered this question multiple times but I have been searching for hours and can’t find an answer that will help me.

    Here is my problem, I have just set up a multi site network with pottsandpans.org and pottsandpans.org/performance. I want to show one of my albums on both sites but cannot get it to transfer to /performance. I have migrated the original install on pottsandpans.org to the blogs.dir/1/wppa as you have instructed in other posts, but /performance does not want to look there. It creates it’s own directory and keeps looking there.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    You can not share a single album on two sites.

    You should Export the album, move the zip created to the depot dir on the target site and import it there.

    So there is no way to share an album between the two sites? I really want to have this album present on both sites and do not want to have to create 2 separate but identical directories.

    Thank you so much for your quick response!

    You can use wppa+ global to the multisite installation.

    Put in wp-config:

    define ('WPPA_MULTISITE_GLOBAL', true);

    which wp-config file? the parent site, or the child?

    If you define WPPA_MULTISITE_GLOBAL all the blogs use the wppa+ album system as if there was only one blog. So the files will reside in wp-content/uploads/wppa/ etc as opposed to wp-content/blogs.dir/[blogid]/wppa etc. Also the database prefix will be $wpdb->base_prefix as opposed to $wpdb->prefix in a normal multiblog site, so one set of db tables for wppa+. This way you can share one wppa+ system among all the blogs in a multiblog installation. This is what it says.

    Thank you,
    That still has not fixed the issue, which really makes me think that I have something else messed up. I think I need to go through and do a fresh install with the multisite from the beginning instead of trying to convert, because I am apparently missing something.

    I am going to mark this as resolved, and when I have time to go through and do a fresh install I will come back an update this post if necessary.

    Thank you for all your help!

    Yes, good idea to start over. Use only the child blogs/sites, this will make life much simpler.
