Multi sites URL issue

  • Hi,

    I’ve installed wordpress 3.0.1 in a folder (mydomain.com/multisite) and configured it as a multi-site. When I create a new site it goes as mydomain.com/multisite/site1 but I want new sites as mydomain.com/site1. (mydomain.com/site2 … ect)

    1. I DON’T want to install wordpress at my root level. I want to keep it in a seperate folder. is it possible to accomplised this by changing wp-config.php, $base = ‘/multisite/’; to root folder?
