Multi Template Selection

Looking for a way to create and use multiple page templates on a per page basis. Would like to have the ability to add a new page template and select to use a selected template on a per page basis inside of the same page category type. As a brief example, if I have a page that contains video content and I want the page to look different from the default site page template but still be able to use the same available widgets so that the page looks distinguishable as a video page as opposed to a blog entry or standard article style template page.
