Faced with the bug with translations of meta title and description.
Polylang provides string translations, but they don’t work on front-end part on categories pages, custom taxonomies, post types single pages, even on pagination pages on categories (which are default).

    All plugins disabled.
Not working with Twenty Twenty-One theme.

But when I use Twenty Twenty-Two theme – it seems works.
I didn’t figure out what is the difference between this themes, but I see there is new architection, are you going to fix it and support old themes, or it’s not in your road map?

    Many thanks.

UPD: I’ve tested my configuration with Yoast SEO plugin and Polylang string translations works like a charm, but I don’t want to switch the plugin.

    Waiting for plugin’s authors reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi @nikitasp,

I wasn’t able to reproduce this problem locally. Can you please share some more details regarding this issue, perhaps some screenshots?

Are you using the latest version of AIOSEO and Polylang? Would you mind sharing the exact steps to reproduce the issue?

    Thank you for your response.
While I was awaiting, I’ve tested Yoast plugin and it shows better:

    1. it has no such bug
    2. there is meta titles and meta descriptions for taxonomies in free version
    3. there is less features I need to manage with custom code

So we just moved to Yoast plugin.
    Sorry.
