Multilingual multigame magazine

    As I have just few hours of experience in WordPress I would like to ask you for advice on solution for following setup:

    Magazine about games where each game has its own subdomain eg.:
    warcraft.magazine.com
    tetris.magazine.com

    Each game subdomain should have its own posts and pages that are not included in different games’ subdomains. So Warcraft content will not appear in Tetris subdomain. Also the logo and background would be different.

    Additionally each game should have multilingual capability so we will have for example:
    warcraft.magazine.com/en/
    warcraft.magazine.com/pl/
    tetris.magazine.com/en/
    tetris.magazine.com/pl/

    I went as far as installing Polylang plugin and it works for main site without subdomains.

    So my questions are:
    -is it possible achieve above using one WordPress instance?
    -does it require using multisite option?
    -what solution do you recommend?
    -in order to have elegant solution should I create folders for each game in root folder?
    -should I use separate databases for each game?

    Oh and I would like to use minimum number of plugins in order to maintain compatibility.

  • Hi schedar,

    it seems what you are looking for is a multisite network: Create A Network.

    That way each site in your multisite network can have its own subdomain and you can manage all sites within one WordPress installation while having one database.
