  • Hi Giampiero,

    Here’s an article where you can find a lot of helpful resources about how you can have your website in more than one language: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Multilingual_WordPress

    Please let me know if you have any further questions ??

    Thanks Radu Constantin,
    I do not want to translate my blog into French but only the static pages of the site. Also I do not want Google to translate the contents in my place. I want to be the ones to translate the pages into French.
    According to your guide I should use these plugins if I understand correctly:
    Transposh, Global Translator and TranslatePress
    What is the best?
    I would like the plugin to automatically choose the language of the browser but allow the user to choose the language in which to read the texts.
    I also have another problem. I can not find the points where I go to edit the text on the home page. There is a home page but if I click above I do not see the text as in the others.
    I await your feedback and I thank you very much.
    Thank you

    I’m sorry, I understand. I only have 2 types of content to translate:
    1.Simple pages;
    2.Pages in which the content is organized and contains widgets called “SX Section”.
    Thanks for your patience

    Hi,

    Can you tell me if you want to have your website only in French or do you want to have two languages (like French and English, for example)? I just want to make sure that I understand exactly what you’d like to do so I can point you to the right solution.

    Hello and thank you for your contribution.
    No, I’m sorry, I speak only Italian and I do not know any other language. I can only write some sgrammatical stupidity in English.
    I would like a multilingual site with 3 languages if possible: Italian, French and English.
    I would like that the user can:
    1.change the language of the page (from French to Italian or vice versa);
    2.read automatically the page in your language taking it from browser (optional).
    The page of the blog does not need me to be translated, it can remain in Italian.
    I have only two types of pages:
    A.simple pages;
    B.pages constructed withc “SX Section” widgets.
    Thanks
    Giampiero

    Hi Radu,
    Can you understand my question?
    See you

    Hi @giacoccalo,

    In order to create something that you’re looking for, you should use a plugin like Polylang or WPML. As I can see, both of them have the option to display the content based on the visitor browser language:
    – WPML: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
    – Polylang: https://polylang.pro/doc/detect-the-browser-preferred-language/

    So you can definitely use one of these two plugins to create exactly what you need.
