  • Hi @lisaxplore,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

The Yoast SEO plugin does not parse different sitemaps for different languages. We add all the languages to the same sitemap. So all posts (regardless of language) will appear on the post sitemap.?Doing it this way will not hurt the SEO or how Google crawls your site.

Furthermore, the?hreflang?tag is generated by your multilingual plugin. We recommend reviewing this guide to ensure you are not missing anything:?https://yoast.com/hreflang-ultimate-guide/.

In addditon, as you’re using WPML, please make sure that you’ve installed and activated the WPML SEO glue plugin as explained in this guide from WPML:?https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-wordpress-seo-with-wpml/.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I have checked again and read your article, but its seems to be ok. So I cant understand why Google does this.

    We use Polylang, not WPML.

    Thanks,

    Lisa
