    H?,

Plugin network wide activated, in /wp-admin/network/settings.php?page=mlp is exist, in wp-admin/network/sites.php shown relationships but in wp-admin/network/site-info.php?id=* (1,2,3..) there is no MultilingualPress tab

Also there is no WordPress debug message or PHP error in logs.

I tried to achieve this setting tab with manuel written url but I couldn’t make it, because I didn’t remember what was the link is.

    Subdir/Multisite
    PHP version 7.0.12

  • Hi Ak?n,

    what’s your WordPress version?

Do you have any JavaScript errors (in your console)?

To test, an example URL would be wp-admin/network/site-settings.php?id=1&extra=mlp-site-settings.

    Best regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi,

can you please deactivate all other plugins (and maybe even switch to a default theme) and see if you still have this issue?

Did I understand this right that this has been working some time ago?

This might be an issue with something else using output buffering…

    Thanks,
    Thorsten

I cannot deactivate all plugins for couple of reasons but I deactivated most of network wide active plugins and also disabled redis object cache but there is nothing changed.

And in /wp-admin dashboard “Untranslated Posts” widget seems not working. Here is the screenshot:

Also I couldn’t any setting section for HTTP Redirect if there is exist any one.

And I would like to ask, any possibilities to copy more source like my theme uses CMB2 and it has own fields. Also I wondering how to automatically create when published one of new custom post-type’s translated version and publish for selected (custom) post-types.

I see comment related my question on github https://github.com/inpsyde/multilingual-press/issues/125#issuecomment-134161423
But I don’t know how can I apply that advise in comment.

Do you have plan for various add-on plugins to extend functionality of plugin. As I understand this plugin hardlycoded and I believe there is so much things to do but unfortunately I’m not PHP expert.

I found some user created add-ons but they created over a year ago. I’m not sure if they work with new version MLP.

    Forks:

    https://gist.github.com/Biont

Did you test them officially or do you have plan to integrate or support as a community add-ons, like CMB2 addon, ACF addon, MyMail addon, automatic translate & publish etc ?

The reason I ask for long term usage of MultilingualPress.

    Thanks,
    Ak?n

Please, let’s not hijack this topic for everything that comes to mind, but focus on your initial issue instead.

Looks like something else (plugin or theme) is interfering with MultilingualPress, that’s why I suggested to deactivate the other plugins. If you can’t do this (because you seem to be working on a live site) then I’d need access to your website and server (FTP or SSH). I strongly suggest to set up some testing/staging environment somewhere, though.

If you want to, please send login information to [email protected]. Thanks.

    Briefly regarding the rest:

    • HTTP redirect needs to be enabled in general on the MultilingualPress settings page, and then per site in the site settings
    • there is no built-in solution to really translate meta data, yet
    • we are currently working on a complete refactor of MultilingualPress itself, and then will work on further functionality (both for MLP Core and as additional plugins), yes; TOP 2 are REST API integration, and translation service integration
    • we do not support/maintain code snippets that post somewhere; but we of course test these with the current MultilingualPress version
    • it is very unlikely that we will publish bridge plugins for specific third-party plugins or themes, except for WooCommerce

    Best regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi there,

I had the same problem today: converted single-site to multi-site, installed Multilingual-Press and no tab at the settings menue.
I tried to fix it: reduced .htaccess to the absolute minimum, changed PHP-version to 5.6 and deactivated all plugins and themes – nothing helped. I got no errors in the console.

My luck: wp-admin/network/site-settings.php?id=1&extra=mlp-site-settings worked and I could setup the multisite correctly.

Unfortunately I have no idea, why the tab does not show up…

    Hi,

what versions of MultilingualPress and WordPress do you have?

Can you test with all plugins (except for MultilingualPress) deactivated, and maybe even with a default theme? Do you have any MU plugins and/or dropins? If so, can you temporarily disable these (e.g., by renaming mu-plugins to mu-plugins~, and also suffixing the dropins with .php~)?

    Thanks in advance,
    Thorsten

    Good morning,
thanks for your quick response and your commitment! I think I use the newest version 2.5.2 and WordPress 4.7.2.
I installed Query Monitor but get no errors in the queries.

Yesterday I disabled every plugin und every theme: only Twenty-Seventeen and Multilingual Press –?same result. MU-Plugins and dropins are no installed.

addition: I just set up complete new installation –?same shared hosting, same settings: works finally and tabs where shown. Difference at the multi-site installation: at the Multi-Site where I have the problem, I had no chance to set whether I like to have a subdomain or subdirectory version by choosing the radio buttons: there where none and so it was predefined with subdomain-version and I changed the setting in the wp-config manually.
So I think there is a problem with the initialization of the multi-site and not with the Multilingual Press plugin. The site I’ve converted was set up in 2013.

Wow, thanks, that’s a huge hint. Still strange, of course. ??
