multipage subtitles in titles

according to subtitles in <title>

as you see titles are not correct for exmaple for subsite

it should be
Rozmna?anie – <article name> – <sitename>
which is <subpage name> – <article> – <name of site>

and now it is BAD <title>Agama brodata – Strona 2 z 10 – Terrarium</title
so it is now <article name> – <subpage number> – <name of site>

about second question i think i was asking for shortcode to get subpage title to use in themes

Are you using some kind of seo plugin?

only default Yoast seo and WPA SEO Auto Linker (which is only to make links in text), and yes with yoast seo titles can be changed but for whole page only not for multipage and its just about <title> tag i think.

On my test environment works like a charm.
Can you try if setting the blog to English language works?

do you have a link to your test? i checkeed on my test site is the same in english and with free template from wordpress. i have written to you some emails. Maybe some plugin makes here smth wrong

You could have something that is interferencing with the title. Multipage is compatilble with Yoast and stock WordPress titles.

You could also try increasing the “Rewrite Title Priority” in Settings > Multipage > Advanced.

rewrite title priority is good way it changes but to i se highest and now is

i also noticed that

is not changed

btw it says it is 10 pages but it is 9 pages lol.

ok i make some changes in yoast seo so it is douable in settings but lol i can set it to

i had to make shortcut myself. it could be done automatically, and automatically made links read more at the end. it would be something like a shortcut from all subpages, which is on main page, with links read more at the end of every heading

and that subsite to be editable … now is very hard to maintain long article, you have to know what to do, its hard for people who ar ejust writing

I think there is something non standard. I can explain you how this works so you can investigate. The standard WordPress pagination is “Page x”, the yoast pagination is “Page x of y”.

The plugin replaces “Page x of y” with the subpage title, it gets the WP SEO current translation string and use the local language to replace. It always worked for me in many languages.

If you havent Yoast the replace acts on “Page x”.

If you set an higher rewrite title priority the plugin acts before Yoast changes the title, so it replaces “Page x” with the subtitle. Then Yoast will add “of y”. That’s why your described behavior.

btw i have just noticed that in custom type there is no Page 1 of 10 hmmm….

This is an old Yoast SEO bug that they refused to fix. You can see that even if you disable Multipage the total is always wrong. It’s +1.

ok, i try with wp seo, maybe its douable. any answer to tht feature i chase you for for 2 years or more ? ??
