    Hello,

is there any way at all to have products with multiple attributes created in Woo with it as the system of record to sync with square? The checkbox to sync with square is always greyed out and I’ve read it doesn’t work this way.

    Thanks,

    Balin

There is an explicit direction in the FAQs that you cannot sync an item with multiple attributes but should use a single combined attribute. I.e. instead of a ‘Size’ and a ‘Colour’ attribute use a combined attribute like ‘Size/Colour Combination’ attribute.

Create the new attribute with all the variations and then, once they are applied to all the items, delete the old attributes.

Hi, yes to get around it once I’ve synced items from square into woo I’ve created new attributes and then deleted the combined ones but the problem is that the “sync with square” option is greyed out so therefore I don’t think I can sync the stock levels. Also If i need to add more variations from square I cannot overwrite the product without resetting the attributes. Is there a different work around to it?

    Hello @balinjfoley,

After the initial sync, the attribute field will not be overridden. As long as the SKU of the product matches the one in Square, the inventory should be synced (although I haven’t tested this from my end).

Have you tried processing a few test orders to confirm? :?)

Make sure this option is enabled:

Hi, continuing on with this thread what would occur with this set-up when trying to create or add new variations in via Square? Would they not update unless I imported products which would break the variations again? Or can I create the new variations with multiple attributes in Woo and it will sync to square regardless?

    Hi there @balinjfoley ??

Hi, continuing on with this thread what would occur with this set-up when trying to create or add new variations in via Square? To sync products with multiple attributes in WooCommerce Square, you’ll need to combine the attributes into one product variation. For example, instead of having separate “color” and “size” attributes, you can create variations like “black-small”, “black-large”, “blue-small”, and “blue-large”.

This is because Square does not support multiple attributes like WooCommerce does. By combining the attributes into variations, you can sync the products with Square successfully.

If you need further assistance or have any other questions, please let me know.

    Hi Pepe,

what would be the best way to import products into square, then fix the variations, then sync them back into Square and would that change the variations in square whilst also keeping the data such as SKU and variation images in tact?

Also, once i’ve adjusted how they sync, whats the best location to add in new variations? If I add them in via square will they appear in Woo instantly or is it better to add new variations in via Woo and sync them to square

    Thanks,

    Balin

Also with this, when i combine attributes into single variations such as “black-small” will they still appear as seperate attributes in Woocommerce?
