    Hello guys,

I have a multi-author website, and I want to generate separate reports for each of my authors, and serve them on their own Google Analytics profile.

Anyone knowing how to do that? I searched for days..

  • Seems to me you’d have to write some custom code to make that happen. Could even be plugin material. I don’t think it’s really typical to install different Google Analytics accounts on different sections of the same website like that. Would it work to just create custom reports for them inside Google Analytics to distribute later?

Well, it’s not about multiple Analytics accounts. A single account, with multiple profiles.

Custom reports won’t work, because I want real time action and independence.

The fact is that I know this could be made, I am currently working for a website that has it installed. But I cannot ask for it ??

Custom codes, plugin, whatever. I just want it done ??

I am looking for the exact same thing for my multi-author website. It looks like you would have to make use of the Google Analytics API to do this.

If you come up with anything let me know. Maybe we could even pool some resources to get this done as I would really like for my authors to be able to track their own posts.

Until now, I discovered a nice plugin, that can split my report into an author only category. It’s called “Google Analytics for WordPress”, and all you need to do is tick the Author checkbox and the Analytics reports will start generate. They can be viewed in Analytics -> Visitors-> Custom Variables.

If I could manage to make a custom filter, that only includes the traffic from a certain author, using the data provided by this plugin…Evrika.

Yoast’s Google Analytics plugin does that too, FYI. I have multiple profiles and can track per.
