Multiple blogs syndicating – can they share their links ?
-
Here’s the background:
I have 5 WP blogs running feedwordpress to feed from the same set of links. Each WP blog posts only posts marked with a specific category. For example:
Technical blog
Tutorial blog
Fashion blogEach use the same set of links in the link manager but if the post has the tag fashion it goes to the fashion blog. If it has a technical and fashion tag it goes to both technical and fashion.
Currently I update one blog, then export links and remove the ones already existing and import on the 4 other blogs.
I am so tired of that. ?? I’ve looked around forums here and I am a tad confused on the possiblities I have to make each of those blogs share the links.
Could I point all blogs to a single database link table? (each of them have their own databases.) Could I use WordPress HIVE? They do have the same theme as well (Although different header info for each blog).
Should I scrap it and start fresh? Exporting SQL table data and importing it to each datatable? I seem to get phpMyAdmin to export a table but it imports a full table, I am not SQL knowledgeable enough offhand but plan to do some Googling tonight on that.Any help would be appreciated or links or just a nudge in the right direction. I searched the forums here and around the web and found hints towards it (hence the suggestions above) but wanted a confirmation from someone more WP knowledgeable than me.
Thanks!
