Multiple categories

Where can I make multiple categories – now I only have one category, but I need to separate them into 3 different – one for men, women, and kids? I have a BuddyPress profile with a marketplace.

EXAMPLE of 3 separate categories:
men……….. women……….. kids
-clothes – clothes – clothes
-shoes – shoes – shoes

NOT LIKE NOW:
Men
Women
Kids
-clothes
– -shoes
ect.
