Multiple column post – Twenty Ten

I am trying to find a solution to show posts in 2 or 3 columns fr the Twenty Ten theme, but can only find solutions for previous themes. I know the index file has now changed to loop.php and the code has changed.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.
