• Resolved bxproject

After months of going around in circles, I admit defeat. https://bxproject.co.uk/blog I have Complinz and SiteKit (Adsense, Analytics and Tag Manager) all running. The website is focused on UK/EU visitors, in English language only. When a new user comes to the site, they get the Google consent popup, followed by the Complianz popup.

If I turn off Consent Mode in SiteKit settings (before, WP Consent API is detected), tracking seems to stop, and I still get the Google consent popup (cache flushed).
Changes to Complainz following any of the hundreds of tutorials, don’t seem to make any difference to the dual consent issue.

If I deactivate Complainz, then I get issues with AdSense reporting not having the correct consent. So, clearly, Complainz is achieving what I want in terms of achieving the required consent for Google, but I can not get this double consent popup issue resolved.

I don’t believe this blog site is very complicated (or interesting), so I doubt this is a unique case. However, I can’t seem to find any discussion on this topic. I also recognise that this is a user error/configuration issue on my part, but I simply can’t solve it alone. Any help will be greatly received!

    Hello,

I’m sorry to hear this, and we’re here to help you as much as we can ??

If you are using Google AdSense, the Google CMP “Funding Choices” is automatically integrated and may be automatically activated on your website. Please ensure it is always deactivated.

Follow these steps to deactivate the Google CMP via AdSense:

    1. Log in to your Google AdSense Account.
    2. Click on Privacy and messaging.
    3. Click on GDPR.
    4. Ensure there is either no message configured or the configured messages are deactivated.

    Hope it helps

Yey! That has sorted it. Thank you so much for the help. I would never have thought to look in the actual AdSense account rather than the site kit. The extra consent window has now gone away.

    Cheers
