multiple crop sizes

  • I would like to be able to have multiple crop sizes of images that are uploaded.

    For instance currently you have this checkbox under the thumbnail:

    Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)

    Why not have that option under every … or even be able to have more then 3 image sizes that every image is resized to.

    The reason I ask, is a theme that I am working with has two set aspect ratio areas that images are used.

    I’m looking for this too.

    One way is TimThumb.

    However, I’d rather do it with WordPress if possible and not take php hits for every single image load. TimThumb does have cache but it still has to check the cache.
