• Hi there,
I have a reasonably large site with multiple custom menus. One primary menu, and then a separate menu for each “section” of the website showing the sub pages. Currently I have to manually add pages to each menu, and also drag and drop any changes made to page position in all the menus a page is in.
This plugin with it’s Nested Pages synced menu looks like it might help me out a lot. I have a couple of questions though:
    1. Is it possible to have the plugin sync more than just the one menu? i.e. sync Nested Pages and use that as the Primary nav menu, and then also sync the “section” menus?
    2. Is there a way to control how “deep” the synced menu goes? My primary menu only shows the first 3 levels (otherwise the menu is huge), and then all levels are shown in the section menus.
If not, no worries, as this plugin will be amazing for the site tree interface anyway! Thanks for your hard work.

    1. Currently, there is only one primary menu that can be synced.
    2. There isn’t currently a way to control how deep nesting goes, although I could see adding a filter for that.

    Hi kyle,
    Thanks for your reply.
To clarify, do you mean you would need to make changes to the plugin itself for me to be able to control menu sync depth, or do you mean there may be a way i could add custom code myself (to functions.php or something) to get that to work?

I’ll be adding a filter, which should make it in the next release.

Once it’s included, I’ll post an example code snippet to place in your functions.php to hook into it.

    Kyle,
You’re awesome. Thanks so much. I was looking through the code for the plugin in Github and noticed some new additions for nest level, and was quietly hoping that’s what you were working on. ?? ??
Looking forward to the next release …

PS before I found your plugin I was starting to doubt my use of WordPress for this large site I’m working on, but the tree view makes all the difference.

    Hi Kyle,

Any updates on when this filter might be added?

    Thanks,
    Donna
