Multiple Databases Possible?

Absolutely loving this plugin.
I’ve set up a business contacts directory and am curious if the plugin could be used to set up a different type of directory in the same WordPress site.
Is there a quick and dirty way to use multiple databases with the plugin? If so, that would be brilliant. If not, no biggie.
