• Hello

We are using flexible map on one of our wordpress site. Now we have added few more domains pointing to the same website. But the problem is that when we access the site using any of the new domains, it shows a javascript alert – “This page was unable to display a Google Maps element. Please contact the site administrator. If you are the administrator of this site, please check the JavaScript console or check the following page for troubleshooting: https://g.co/mapsJSApiErrors

When we access it through the first domain (with which wordpress was installed), we don’t get this error and map is showing fine.

Can you please let us know how we can solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance
    Sujith

    G’day Sujith,

Most likely, Google Maps is telling you that you need to use an API key. Websites that weren’t using Google Maps already before 2016-06-22 need an API key now.

v1.12.0 of this plugin now supports using an API key, so you can create a key and tell the plugin to use it:

    Settings > Flexible Map

NB: when you create your Google Maps API key, be sure to add all of the add-on domains that will be loading the website. One API key can support multiple domain names, you just need to add them all.

    cheers,
    Ross

    Hello Ross

Thanks for your quick response. For the time being, we have set all new domains to redirect to the first domain (301 redirect). This way, we only have one domain where WP is installed and is working fine.

Let me try with the options you recommended and see whether that will fix the issue we faced earlier.

    Thanks & Regards
    Sujith
