    Hi there – really loving the plugin! One (sort of) issue I am encountering is when I submit an RSVP – I receive three duplicate emails at the same time.

    I have set the plugin up to just notify the event organiser, no emails are sent to the guests at the moment.

    Any ideas about how to eliminate these duplicate emails?

  • Hi Neal,

    Can you enable open registration and try and add a new attendee (or just add a new additional attendee for someone)? Then let me know if you get three new attendees or just one.

    I have seen themes or plugins that mess with shortcodes and when a form is submitted it ends up with multiple submissions. If this is what you are seeing I will see about a fix, I have one in the pro version that I should be able to port over to the free version pretty easily.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for coming back to me.

    I have enabled the open registration (I had turned that option off) and I have added an additional guest and then also just amended the info for the guest who had RSVP’d.

    On both occasions I have received three emails in response.

    In terms of theme – I’m using one I have created and is very basic (just style really), so if you need more info on this to root out any conflicts, let me know.

    When you add a new guest do you get three guests with all of the same data or just one guest?

    Sorry, it was all the same information. One minor difference was an increment in the associated attendee info. The email arrived simultaneously. See below:

    Yea, that is what I was worried about. I will move over my fix in the next few days and let you know when it is released.

    Sorry for the delay on this. I just released 2.3.5 of the free version which should help fix the problem you are having. Let me know if it does or doesn’t.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for letting me know – I’ve updated and tested a few different scenarios and all the emails are working as expected (one only each time).

    Thanks for your help getting this sorted, it is much appreciated.

    I have noticed a (potentially) related issue – which is the thank you message no longer shows upon completion of a submission. I will open a separate thread for that – sorry!
