    Hi

I have installed forminator and want customers to be able to upload images for me so I can work on them. It works fine when I set it to single images, but when i set it multiple uploads it doesn’t work on my phone. It works fine on my desktop, but when I try to add multiple files on my phone it doesn’t work at all and I only get one through. It won’t let me select more than one image on my phone at a time, so when I try to upload more photos to the website it just overwrites the previous one. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but it an android phone, but just isn’t working ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @andymack3000

    I hope you’re well today!

I just tested it on my Android mobile and it worked fine with multiple upload field – both set to use “Ajax” and “On form submission” settings.

However, there is a “catch”. As you mentioned, it didn’t let you select more than one photo so I’m assuming after tapping on upload field you ended up in “Files”, right?

The “trick” here is that if you just tap on the photo, it will be instantly added to the upload list. You still can tap on the upload field and add another photo this way.

But if you want to select multiple files at ones you need to actually “tap and hold” (long-press) selected photo in “Files” app. This will mark it with checkmark and you can then select another one the same way. Once all are marked with checkboxes, you just tap “Open” option and then they are all added to upload list.

This actually isn’t related to Forminator directly but rather how browser and “Files” (and similar apps on Android) work – you just need to “tap and hold” instead of “just tap” to be able to select multiple files.

    Best regards,
    Adam

Hi Adam, thanks for the response

That’s strange as its still not working on mine. I tried the long press and then selected another image and the highlighted part just went onto the newly selected photo.

Any ideas as to what could be causing it? My phone is a samsung S20 FE so do you know if there is anything about that model that might mean that it doesn’t work with this plugin?

    Hi @andymack3000,

Hope this message finds you well.

After a few tests on an Android device, I was able to reproduce the issue, and is related to the SSL.

This is the screenshot when you visit your site using HTTPS: https://handmadebyholly.online/upload-image/

    https://prnt.sc/LmYAzxps6H7X

You will notice the button to load the image is different than the one below and it will only allow you to select one image from the Files:

    https://prnt.sc/9mhMtSOQsIeT

If you visit your page using HTTP https://handmadebyholly.online/upload-image/ You will be able to upload and select multiple files

    https://prnt.sc/bmUd0niQr4MD

This same issue is reproducible for desktops. In such case, you might need to fix this and replace all the HTTP with HTTPS on your site, the first step would be to check in WP Admin >> Settings >> General >> WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) have the https in the URL, if it does, you might need to use a plugin like Better Search Replace plugin to replace the https://handmadebyholly.online/ with https://handmadebyholly.online/.

Since this will affect the database we strongly suggest you run a backup before performing any search and replace or get assistance from your hosting provider.

    Best regards,
