Thanks for the awesome plugin. It’s so nice to be able to use Photoswipe on images for the user to open them intuitively.

My snag is that I need to have separate galleries on one page. I’ve spent hours trying to make some combination of items work, but frankly, your plugin adds Photoswipe best and trying to use it on part of my site and another buggier plugin that does handle galleries (but requires the Classic editor/disabling other things/messes up in numerous other ways) is driving me crazy.

It would be great if you could add multiple gallery support. I’d be totally happy using the default gallery of WordPress. The consistent structure is there, just needs the hooks, I think.

    If it helps:
https://github.com/thriveweb/photoswipe-masonry-v2 – plugin, does galleries, but see above
    https://github.com/kaisermann/PhotoSwippy – javascript
https://github.com/yaquawa/jquery.photoswipe – javascript, removes some dependencies
    https://www.npmjs.com/package/photoswiper – beyond my skill understandings ??

Anyway, thanks again for your plugin and hard work. It’s appreciated.

The feature has been requested by others as well for a while now – I’ll try to get this added as an option for the next update.

Thanks for the hints for the implementation.

Multiple galleries or single images support would be awesome, I totally second that! Thanks a lot for considering that in the next update Arno, it’s really nice of you.

A watermark option on top of that and it will be the best lightbox plugin for wordpress! ??

Just drawing a watermark above the image in the browser makes no sense, since everybody can just download the image without the watermark. A watermark has to be added to the image files when they get uploaded.

You may try other plugins to deal with the watermark like one of these:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-watermark/

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/image-watermark/

Unless you have a plugin that prevent right click actions.
And these plugins seems to have a lot of issues.

But otherwise I agree with you.

    Hello Arno,

any news on the progress of the multiple galleries or single images support?

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the delay – there were some other things which had to be fixed first. Stay tuned for the next update.

Great! I’m looking forward the next one then! ??

Thanks for your reply, have a nice day.

Sorry for the long delay. But I finally finished this feature and will include this with the next update. It may not work with every gallery plugin out there, but the standard WordPress gallery will be supported as well as all plugins which only add a gallery output filter and don’t replace the standard WordPress gallery shortcode with their own implementation.

I just released version 2.50 which now also supports separate lightbox for galleries. So far this is supported for classic WordPress galleries and Gutenberg gallery blocks.

For other galleries this should work as well, if they use the standard WordPress gallery shortcode and use the the output filter for galleries.

    Hi Arno,

thanks a lot for this update!

I can’t get it to work with single images though…
And with the Metaslider plugin as well.

    But I might missing something.

I just updated to 2.51, maybe this works better.

Awesome plugin! Just to tag onto this topic. It seems that currently multiple different galleries will be added into one big photoswipe. Is it possible that each gallery just opens a photoswipe containing only the images from that gallery? That would make the flow on my blog much better ??

Wooops, I just found out that this is already possible using an option which I misinterpreted!
