    Hi Jeschnittka,

You can definitely use multiple galleries in a single post. If you are using the raw [dg] shortcode, the default behavior is to include all attached files on that page. As such, you would end up with two identical galleries, one on top of the other.

What you want to do is use the ids attribute (see installation page) to specify which items you want in each gallery.

I’m going to mark this as resolved, but if you still have problems, please let me know and I’ll work with you to get everything working!

PS: If you’ve found this plugin useful, please take a moment to rate it so that others can find it. Thanks!

    Jeschnittka,

Unfortunately, this part of Document Gallery is not as easy to use as it could be (yet). For now, there are a few ways to retrieve doc IDs. The most straightforward way is to go to the “Media” area in your dashboard and hover over the document you want to include.

While hovering, you should see the URL that it points to, which will include post=###, where “###” is the ID for that particular document.

Like I said, not as easy as it could be, but doable.
