• I am using the latest version, 4.0.16, upgraded from 3.10.2
Prior to this version I was able to choose multiple groupings, such as ‘Month’ and ‘Day.’ And it grouped my calendar accordingly.

Now, the plugin only uses the last grouping option ticked. In other words, although ‘Month’ is also chosen, it’s being ignored. It’s only grouping my events by day.

Is this a bug? Intentional? Or something wrong with my install?

I’m displaying the calendar using ‘list for rows.’ But, I also tried ‘table’ and it made no difference.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Polyfade,

It may be the plugin – there are some circumstances where more than one level was not going to work. Sorry don’t have time right now to thrash through it . I did a very quick check of the readme (I usually log every change and mention any impact, but didn’t see anything immediately.). I will make a note to look into it later.

A quick fix may be to use multiple shortcodes – one for each month you want, and then have the grouping by day within the month. Note ‘months’ always start at the beginning of a month, even if past (days start at begin of day, hours at beginning of hour etc)

    [iCal months=1 grouping=day]
    [iCal months=1 monthoffset=1 grouping=day]
    [iCal months=1 monthoffset=2 grouping=day]
