multiple image upload PROBLEM

  • i have images that are 948 px wide that fit perfectly into my theme and i want to upload a number of these instead of selecting the image icon, selecting one image, selecting upload, waiting, selecting insert, selecting image icon, selecting another image and so on and so on. in some cases i have 20 or 30 images and this takes half an hour.

    recently there has been an addition to the GALLERY function that lets you select ONE COLUMN but this still appears to provide me with “gallery sized” (i.e. /small/) images that you have to click on to get the full image.

    is it possible to do this in an automated way but so that the images are their actual width (without going one by one by one)?

  • Hi.
    You can add multiple images to the Media Gallery, and even drag and drop them there. No need to go one by one.
    However, in order to insert them, you would still need to go through the first steps, but then instead of selecting a pic from your computer, you would do so from your Media Gallery.
    Is that what you wanted to know?

    so i select the image icon, go to the Media Gallery tab, and then drag and drop them there?

    then i go back to the WP UI and select insert image, navigate back to Media Gallery Tab, select an image, select insert?

    then i go back to the WP UI and select insert image and just keep doing this twenty times?

    Not exactly. First you go to the Media Library. There you can upload multiple pictures by drag and drop, and once you are done, you can go to the Post editing window to insert them where needed.
    The insertion needs to be individual since AFAIK you can’t insert more than one image at a time.

    after uploading to from the media library section, then you go to the post, select the image icon, select the image from media library, select upload, then insert, then select the image icon in the edit post again…?
