    What is the use case you try to achieve ?

    Within our current site, which we are porting to WP, we have various sections, think of them as custom post types. These have their own custom fields, categories and tags and separating them to their own index to be search separately seems somewhat logical unless within the whole search we could separate out particular sections for searching.

    You want to define several engines on your WP: indexes, search results, facets …

    Unfortunately, it is not possible with WPSOLR.
